Winter is now behind us and there is a new sense of optimism in the air, as the season changes and the weather begins to warm up.

Despite most of Australia still in lockdown, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccination numbers continue to increase, and with vaccine passports on the way, the dialogue is shifting. Initially pleading with Australians to get vaccinated, the government is about to start treating the vaccinated differently to the unvaccinated, in an effort to make being part of the first cohort much more attractive.

The vaccinated will have more freedoms. This means more freedom to travel, more freedom to get together with loved ones, or even to go to football matches and concerts.

I never thought I would be so excited to be getting on a plane again!

On another note, the profit reporting season for ASX-listed companies has kicked off in August and it’s been an extraordinary period. The Australian share market rose by more than 20 percent over the year to June 30 and it continues to hit new highs.

Speaking of investments, if there is one undeniable trend in finance right now, it has been the growing interest in green or sustainable investing. Read more about the ‘there’s gold in green’ ethos.

The world markets continue to be threatened by the impact of the coronavirus. In September, the US and European markets fell but the Japanese market thrived. This rise and fall in market performance demonstrate how the world markets are interdependent. What else happened?

After completing the next experience but before getting back to work, I take 1-3 of the best photos and place them in a folder/album for say 2020. That way it is very easy to look back over the year and reminisce of the great times had. Because what I find is that you look at 1-3 pictures which set off in your mind the whole experience so you don’t need 500 photos that you will never look back on because it takes too long. (feel free to keep them though just not in the same folder cluttering it up).

You just need a couple, it is also more fun for the friends to review them as they don’t want to sit through hours of pictures.

So this time I thought I would share an experience that I had previously, attending a Kevin Hart show in Sydney. The Encore act was just as good as watching Kevin, didn’t leave disappointed. Wish I could remember that guy’s name.
