Taking an extended holiday - Make Work Optional

Create a Budget, how much money are you going to need for the trip;
Pre-pay the big-ticket Items;
Do your homework on fees and charges;
Keep track of how much you are actually spending and ensure you are sticking to your budget;
Use the right Card, as you may not get a favourable exchange rate (if overseas);
Pay off your credit card as soon as you can to avoid the interest, as it only makes the holiday even more expensive; and
Consider if you can afford to use your savings, or superannuation, or will you need to work? Will you buy a caravan, camper trailer, etc. Should you sell or rent out your home?
